Bioproducts obtained
IngeliaHTC process generates concept biochars from waste. Tailored to client requirements and with no CO2 emissions.
Different bio-products can be obtained from IngeliaHTC plants from the hydrochar and HTC effluent produced.

Under investigation.
Agriculture
Hydrochar can be used for agriculture according to Regulation 2019/1009, and as a soil conditioner, increasing plant production and reducing the need for synthetic fertilizers by containing P, N, Ca, K. In addition, it saves up to 0.6 kg of CO2 compared to compost.
Bio-coke
In industrial development, hydrochar can be used as a raw material in steel manufacturing, reducing CO2 emissions and representing a sustainable and low-cost option for the metallurgical industry.
Bioenergy
IngeliaHTC hydrochar is a high-quality biofuel, ISO 17225/8 compliant, with a calorific value of 20-24 MJ/kg and a density of 750 kg/m³. As a replacement for fossil coal, it reduces 2.2 kg of CO2 for each kg of hydrochar used, as well as avoiding emissions of waste in landfills.
Biopolymer
In industrial development phase.
A biopolymer has been created at laboratory level with applications in the furniture and construction sectors. The results obtained indicate that the leap to industrial level will not cause difficulties.
Liquid biofuels
IngeliaHTC process is currently being used to obtain liquid biofuels for aviation. We also have a patent on Biocoal Water Fuel (BWF).

Anaerobic digestion
Process water can be used as raw material in an anaerobic digestion process to obtain biogas, increasing biomethane production by 20%.
Liquid fertilizer
In industrial development, the liquid fraction of the HTC process can be used for fertigation, being a sterilized water containing nutrients, ideal for the production of complex fertilizers.
